I know GI3 is still in beta, but the GI4 beta will be starting imminently.

Don’t expect major design changes - this is a back-end rewrite - but it should come along very quickly because we’re moving to a similar technology, and the code behind this isn’t too bad as-is.

All data will be automatically migrated when I switch the sites over, but during the beta it’ll have a separate database.

I should add, there will be some design changes & I’m particularly interested in making it responsive.

The forum is working as of yesterday night, so I’ll probably try to get it up and running on a full testing environment this weekend.

Flicked the switch! You should have a GI v4 option in your navigation bar which will take you to the beta.

Once you've clicked it once, it should remember you and you'll be authenticated to access https://beta.gamer-island.com/

the email on my account is probably old. needs a change, can't find an option too, but i'm interested in this beta

Regarding your email - I can fix that for you, but I wouldn't bother personally. You can sign up with the correct email on the beta and when I migrate the data across you'll be able to change your email on the new site.

Hey Hopper, looks like the error was you trying to make two accounts (maybe a glitch caused it to resubmit - I'll investigate)

Have you checked your spam folder?

Looking at logs, it looks like you might have clicked register twice in click succession and the first one went through and the second one caused an error. I'll see what I can do around improving the user experience in those circumstances.

Yeah I did accidentally hit Submit twice. My bad. And verification email must have been lost in the e-void lol.
