How to earn bux
Bux are the island's currency. You spend them in the store, on the market and in trades —
and here are the five ways to earn them.
Log in each day
Your first visit each day pays a bonus, and the longer your run of consecutive days, the bigger it gets:
5 bux on day one, rising to 25 bux once you reach a
5-day streak. Miss a day and the run starts again.
Island Club members earn double.
Post regularly on the forum
Post on 2 different days in a week and that week is banked.
It's the number of days that counts, not the number of posts — ten posts in one evening is
still one day, so there's nothing to be gained from rushing.
Island Club members earn half again on top. Keep it up and you'll pick up the
Regular, Fixture and Cornerstone badges along the way.
| Weeks in a row | Reward |
|---|---|
| 1 | 25 |
| 2 | 50 |
| 3 | 75 |
| 4+ | 100 |
Make something people want
Design an item, and once staff approve it, it goes on sale in the store. You earn from every
sale, less 15% tax, or 10% as an
Island Club member. The more people wear your work, the more you earn.
Trade and sell on the market
Sell a limited item you own on its market page, or agree a trade with another islander.
The same 15% applies here as everywhere else, or
10% for Island Club members, and it always comes off the money you
receive. The exact amount you'll walk away with is shown before you agree to anything.
Island Club
Members receive a 100 bux stipend every month of membership,
double daily bonuses, a longer daily streak and reduced market tax.

Earn it honestly
Rewards are for taking part. Spamming the forum, sending junk messages or making throwaway trades
to farm bux or badges breaks the site rules: those rewards will be taken back, and repeat offenders
can lose posting privileges. If it wouldn't be fun for the person on the other end, don't do it.
